i just discovered the artist Allison Schulnik and she is challenging me in so many ways. it is so refreshing to find an artist whose work i can look at and truly call original. the ambiguity of these faces is haunting. They’re completely nonconventional and unrealistic, yet they communicate human emotion perfectly. i’m inspired.
